Texas will be without safety Caden Sterns, cornerback Jalen Green, and defensive back Josh Thompson for an extended period due to injuries the three players suffered in Saturday's victory over Oklahoma State.

Longhorns head coach Tom Herman delivered the injury updates Monday, according to Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman. Sterns is suffering from a knee ailment, while Green is dealing with a shoulder injury. Both will miss four weeks.

Thompson is slated to miss "significant time" with a broken foot.

Texas has battled through a banged-up secondary all month, but that hasn't stopped the squad from reaching a 3-1 mark and the No. 11 spot in the AP Poll.

The Longhorns have a bye in Week 5, and they return to action Oct. 5 against West Virginia.
