Steve Sarkisian has turned down the Arizona Cardinals' offensive coordinator job and will instead return to coach at Alabama, sources told Dianna Russini of ESPN.

Sarkisian is expected to become the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator after a two-year stint leading the Atlanta Falcons' offense.

The 44-year-old guided Alabama's offensive unit in the 2017 national championship after Lane Kiffin left for Florida Atlantic. Sarkisian will replace former co-offensive coordinator Josh Gattis, who left for Michigan.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals will be forced to look elsewhere for someone to guide their offense under first-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
