Washington State jumped over a pair of national powerhouses in Ohio State and LSU and into the No. 8 position in the AP Poll on Sunday.
The Cougars earned the two-spot leap after pulling away from Colorado on the road, while the Buckeyes and Tigers also traveled to defeat their respective opponents, Michigan State and Arkansas.
Three new teams entered the top 25 in Week 12, as No. 21 Utah, No. 23 Boise State, and No. 24 Northwestern all cracked the list after being denied a week prior.
Six teams from the SEC appeared in the AP Poll, leading all conferences.
