Ohio State football players addressed the media Tuesday for the first time since head coach Urban Meyer returned from his three-game suspension.

Players said they haven't changed how they view their coach or the "core values" of honesty and respect for women that he supports, according to ESPN's Dan Murphy.

"I don't believe coach Meyer would have anything to do with that. I believe he was telling the truth," senior offensive tackle Isaiah Prince said. "He's a great guy, so I don't really pay attention to things on TV."

Meyer's suspension for failing to uphold the standards of the university concluded on Sunday. He met the team that morning upon its return from a 40-28 victory over TCU in Texas.

Players said Meyer discussed some of the details regarding his decision to not discipline or fire former assistant Zach Smith over domestic violence claims against him and said they're ready to move on from the saga in preparation of Saturday's home game against Tulane.

"He just gave us a brief overview of what went down, and I'll just kind of leave that in the team room. He kind of just wanted to move past it, you know, looking to learn from it and grow," defensive tackle Dre'Mont Jones said. "I didn't really have a reaction to it. I was just listening because I didn't know what was going on specifically."

Meyer was permitted to resume some coaching duties on Sept. 3. He'll assume his full coaching responsibilities on Saturday for the first time since the suspension.
