Duke phenom Zion Williamson has been officially ruled out for Saturday's clash against rival UNC as he continues to recover from his right knee sprain.

Williamson, who hasn't played since Duke's last matchup against the Tar Heels on Feb. 20, was widely expected to miss the contest to focus on his recovery. His status was only confirmed, however, following Saturday morning's shootaround.

Though he will miss Duke's regular-season finale, head coach Mike Krzyzewski said earlier this week he expects the freshman star to return for the ACC tournament beginning Tuesday.

Saturday will mark the fifth consecutive game the 18-year-old has missed since he tore through his shoe against UNC in February. In 26 games this season, Williamson is averaging 21.6 points and 8.8 rebounds.

He is expected to be drafted first overall in June's NBA draft.
