LaVar Ball still stands by his decision to pull his 16-year-old son LaMelo out of Chino Hills High School.

The Ball family patriarch, who announced in October that he would be home-schooling LaMelo for the next two years, told Overtime he felt it was the best decision for his youngest son's basketball career.

"Why would I regret that? Melo was too big for the high school," LaVar said. "Melo wants to be a pro player, so why go spend seven, eight hours at school, at recess and lunch, and dealing with knuckleheads?

"Get into your profession early, which is being a basketball player. Everybody know what lane Melo's in. So he got the best of both worlds, man. He understands what he wants to do at an early age for his career. Why not get started now?"

LaMelo is currently playing for the Los Angeles Ballers of LaVar's Junior Basketball Association.
