Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James won't play Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks due to an ankle injury.

James is averaging 25.4 points, 8.1 assists, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game in 62 contests this season. This is the most games he's played since 2019-20, his second campaign with the franchise.

The 39-year-old missed the team's win over the Bucks earlier in March due to "severe soreness" in his ankle.

The Lakers are riding a three-game winning streak, ranking ninth in the Western Conference with a 39-32 record. They are 2.5 games behind the Phoenix Suns for eighth place.

Los Angeles is 5-4 in games that James has missed this season.

Lakers big man Anthony Davis is averaging 27 points, 16.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, two blocks, and 1.3 steals over the current winning streak.
