New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram suffered a knee contusion during Thursday's loss to the Orlando Magic and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the team announced.

Ingram appeared to hyperextend his knee while guarding a drive to the basket from Magic guard Jalen Suggs. He was helped to the locker room.

Ingram scored 14 points in 21 minutes before exiting.

The Pelicans forward is averaging 20.9 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.1 rebounds this season. He has played in 63 games, the most since his rookie campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2016-17.

Wings Herb Jones, Trey Murphy, and Naji Marshall will likely earn more minutes in Ingram's absence.

New Orleans ranks fifth in the Western Conference with a 42-27 record with 13 games remaining in the season. The team is on the second night of a back-to-back, facing the Miami Heat on Friday evening.
