Los Angeles Lakers forward Christian Wood underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday, the team announced.

Wood will reportedly miss several weeks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wood last played on Feb. 14. The 28-year-old is averaging 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in 50 games with the Lakers this season. Los Angeles signed Wood to a reported two-year contract in the offseason.

The Lakers are already short on frontcourt depth. Jarred Vanderbilt hasn't played since Feb. 1 due to a foot injury, and Cam Reddish missed the last three games with an ankle sprain.

Los Angeles sits 10th in the Western Conference with a 36-32 record.
