The Minnesota Timberwolves moved back above .500 on Monday, defeating a shorthanded Miami Heat squad 105-101 for their fourth straight win.

However, a sluggish first half and slow start to the third quarter drew boos from Timberwolves fans, which didn't sit well with Rudy Gobert.

"I just don't appreciate people that come in to boo your team," Gobert told reporters postgame, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski. "When you're a fan, you've got to support your team in the tough or the good moments.

"There's no team in NBA history that only had good moments, so if you're not going to support us in the tough moments, just stay home. I think if you're going to embrace us in the tough moments, then come, and then we're going to love the support."

Gobert doubled down on his stance when asked if the home crowd's reaction came from heightened expectations.

"I don't care. I've never experienced that before. I think you can get booed if you're really, really playing bad," Gobert said. "In Utah, I probably can remember in nine years, I don't even remember probably a few times getting booed."

Gobert added: "You can't just boo every time the other team makes a run. That's not the support that we need. That's not the support we expect."

Minnesota is now 10th in the competitive Western Conference, just two games back of the top-seeded Utah Jazz. The Timberwolves have been solid at both ends of the floor during their four-game win streak, ranking seventh and eighth in offensive and defensive efficiency, respectively.
