Sacramento Kings first-round pick Keegan Murray was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2022 NBA Summer League, the league announced Monday.

Murray averaged 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and two assists over four games in Las Vegas, making 50% of his shots and 40% of his 3-pointers.

The Iowa product was an unexpected selection at fourth overall last month, with many projecting Purdue's Jaden Ivey to go to Sacramento. Ivey instead fell to the Detroit Pistons with the fifth pick, but the athletic guard played in just one full Summer League game for the Pistons before suffering an ankle injury.

Murray was joined by Houston Rockets wing Tari Eason and Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin as the only rookies to be selected to an all-tournament team.

New York Knicks guard Quentin Grimes, Milwaukee Bucks forward Sandro Mamukelashvili, and Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas rounded out the first team alongside Murray and Eason.

Meanwhile, the second team featured Mathurin, Memphis Grizzlies big man Santi Aldama, Chicago Bulls big man Marko Simonovic, Portland Trail Blazers forward Trendon Watford, and Bucks guard Lindell Wigginton.
