The Brooklyn Nets are expected to sign EuroLeague standout Mike James by the end of the week, sources told Marc Stein of The New York Times.

James is reportedly in the midst of testing for the NBA's health and safety protocols after CSKA Moscow agreed to make him a free agent for the remainder of the season. His Nets contract is expected to be a two-way deal.

The 30-year-old has played in Europe for the majority of his professional career, but he had a brief 36-game stint with the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans in 2017-18.

Known as one of the top scorers in Europe, the 6-foot-1 guard averaged 16.1 points per game across 167 EuroLeague games and ranked in the top three in scoring each of the last three seasons.

James will help provide scoring punch for an injury-riddled Nets squad with stars Kevin Durant and James Harden currently sidelined.
