Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is willing for his team to join a possible second NBA bubble setup in Chicago, which is reportedly in the works for the eight clubs excluded from the league's return.

"Originally, when it was announced that the 22 teams would go to Orlando, we felt like the other eight of us would probably be allowed to do some kind of an in-market training camp, a week-long camp or something," Kerr told The Athletic's David Aldridge.

He added: "I respect where the NBA is coming from, where the players' association is coming from, where the guidelines are coming from, which are different in every city, every state. So this is really complex. So we're going to do whatever the league asks us to do. If that means going to Chicago for a bubble, then we'll do it."

However, neither Kerr nor the club's veterans are expected to travel to the Windy City in such a scenario.

"We haven't really had a chance to talk about it, but I think those are pretty good assumptions to make," Kerr said. "If we go to Chicago, it's purely for development. There's nothing at stake in terms of wins and losses."

The eight teams would reportedly take part in mini training camps and games. They'll adopt the same health and safety measures as those in the Orlando bubble.

Kerr previously spoke about holding NFL-like organized team activities during the offseason to avoid a potential nine-month break from basketball.
