Kemba ready for bubble: 'All I do is stay in the house anyways'

Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker is a self-described homebody, so he doesn't have any issues with entering the NBA's Orlando bubble next week.

"I'm a single man with no kids, so I'ma be fine," Walker said Wednesday, according to The Athletic's Jared Weiss. "All I do is stay in the house anyways, so there's nothing wrong with me staying in the room. I'm actually looking forward to it cause I'm ready to play basketball. And it's going to be set up so we can have fun."

Walker's comments sounded more optimistic than remarks from fellow NBAers DeMar DeRozan and Damian Lillard, with the former questioning some of the campus protocols, and latter wondering if players will adhere to strict regulations.

"I think we're going to be pretty safe and secluded in the bubble," Walker said.

The Celtics appear to be in good shape heading into the restart. Boston sat in third place in the East when the league suspended play on March 11, and the team's mix of young talent and solid coaching could lead to success in what amounts to a potentially three-month-long tournament.

Walker also touted the club's tight chemistry.

"From Day 1 with this team, our vibe, our chemistry was already there for a very long time," he said. "So the first time you see anybody, it’s like we were just together yesterday. That's just the team that we have, we're so close."
