After LeBron James passed Kobe Bryant on the NBA's all-time scoring list, the two shared one last conversation over the phone late Saturday night, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Several Los Angeles Lakers players apparently listened to their call, Charania adds. The details of their chat were not revealed.

The following day, Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash.

Since then, current and former Lakers have taken to social media to pay their respects, including Anthony Davis.

The Lakers have brought in grief counselors who are available in both group and one-on-one sessions, a source told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

The NBA has postponed Tuesday's matchup between the Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
