Los Angeles Clippers starters Kawhi Leonard and Patrick Beverley both missed their second straight game Saturday against the visiting Atlanta Hawks.

Leonard's injury is listed as a left knee contusion while Beverley is dealing with a sore left calf.

The 28-year-old Leonard has been out three times due to load management so far this season, but this is the first instance where the two-time Finals MVP has missed a game that wasn't on either half of a back-to-back. Clippers coach Doc Rivers labeled Leonard's current outlook as "day-to-day," according to The Mercury News' Mark Medina.

Leonard's absence denied fans another opportunity to see him and Paul George take the floor together. George made his season debut in Thursday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, scoring 33 points in 24 minutes of action, and added 37 points in 20 minutes during the Clippers' blowout win over Atlanta.
