Canada sets NBA record for non-U.S. players on opening-day rosters

With 16 players on various teams, Canada has set an all-time record for non-U.S. players from one country on NBA rosters to start a season. Another four Canucks are beginning the 2019-20 campaign on two-way contracts.

Australia comes in next with nine players on NBA rosters, followed by France with eight.
The Toronto Raptors became the first team from outside the United States to win an NBA championship last season, and they'll begin their title defense Tuesday night with the league's season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans.
