Veteran center Joakim Noah will join the Los Angeles Clippers for workouts this week, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The free-agent big man turns 35 in February, and he's struggled to stay on the court in recent years, appearing in just 191 out of a possible 410 games dating back to the 2014-15 season.

However, the two-time All-star and former Defensive Player of the Year enjoyed a modest bounce-back season with the Memphis Grizzlies last year. Primarily serving as a backup, first to Marc Gasol and then Jonas Valanciunas, Noah averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in just 16.5 minutes per game in 2018-19.

The Clippers are set to begin the season with several frontcourt options, but few traditional centers. Their roster includes 22-year-old Ivica Zubac, small-ball fives Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Patterson, power forward JaMychal Green, and rookie Mfiondu Kabengele.
