The Houston Rockets agreed to a deal with ex-lottery pick Ben McLemore, general manager Daryl Morey announced Tuesday.

McLemore will reportedly sign a partially guaranteed two-year deal to give the Rockets added depth on the perimeter, a source told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Kansas standout appeared in just 19 games for the Sacramento Kings last season before being waived.

Houston managed to successfully plug low-cost talent into the rotation in the past, with Gerald Green and Austin Rivers playing crucial roles last season.

McLemore will likely be an insurance piece as the sixth guard on the roster who can help space the floor when called upon.

The 26-year-old has averaged 8.8 points and 2.5 rebounds through six seasons.
