Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard will apparently be getting plenty of screen time in "Space Jam 2."

Speaking with Trail Blazers beat reporter Casey Holdahl, Lillard described his role as "significant, it's not a cameo," and said the film required him to shave off his beard and do a week of 15-hour shoots.

"That was different," Lillard said of shooting the film. "You all know I've always had a babyface, so this season I grew a beard out, it took me like six months to grow it. I show up on the set, they make me shave it off for the animation. That's why I look like this now. It was bare-faced for the animation, 15-hour days, showing up on the set at 6 a.m., leaving at 9 p.m. It was long."

Lillard added that while the bulk of his work is done, he may have to go back on the set one more time.

"I'm not going to say it was fun, eventually it was fun, and now I'm happy I did it knowing that I was a part of something like that," Lillard said. "I think it's going to be great."

New Laker Anthony Davis, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson, Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi, and Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike are also expected to have prominent roles alongside LeBron James in the film.
