The Golden State Warriors' run over the last half-decade may be over, but Stephen Curry doesn't seem to be sulking.

The two-time NBA MVP sounds positive and upbeat about Golden State's radical overhaul this summer, highlighted by the exit of Kevin Durant and acquisition of D'Angelo Russell.

"I'm excited, to be honest with you," Curry said, according to the Bay Area News Group's Cam Inman. "The chemistry will develop quickly. We'll be really purposeful about that and try to set the tone on how we’ll play this year. It’s about encouraging each other and having confidence that we’ll bring the best out of each other."

Curry will be teaming in the backcourt with Russell until Klay Thompson eventually returns from the torn ACL he suffered in the NBA Finals. At that point, Steve Kerr's lineups promise to get interesting - and could include Thompson playing minutes at the three.

"It's going to be fun," Curry said, while also paying tribute to his departed teammates.

"The three years that we had were special. With KD, we had three straight Finals appearances. We won two of them, and we accomplished a lot as a group ... the beauty of free agency is everybody has a decision, everybody has a choice," he said.

"The beauty of the NBA is everybody has that decision at some point, especially guys that deserve it, like KD and other top free agents. I like to look at what we accomplished and focus on that and be extremely proud of this run that we had. Now we are going to have to recreate it in terms of what it means going forward."
