Report: Klay expected to recover in 5-7 months after ACL surgery

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson underwent surgery Tuesday on the ACL he tore during the NBA Finals, a source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Thompson's agent, Greg Lawrence, said the Splash Brother is expected to recover within five-to-seven months, according to Wojnarowski. That means the 29-year-old will miss most - if not all - of the 2019-20 season.
Despite the devastating injury, Thompson reportedly secured a five-year, $190-million contract from the Warriors at the beginning of free agency.
The five-time All-Star averaged 21.5 points per game last season while shooting 40.2 percent from deep. Thompson has spent all eight seasons of his career in the Bay Area since being drafted 11th overall by the Warriors in 2011.
