The Chicago Bulls are expected to express early interest in unrestricted free agent Julius Randle, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Several other teams are also expected to express interest in the power forward, including both New York clubs, according to Charania.

Randle reportedly opted out of the final year of his contract - worth $9 million - with the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this month. The 24-year-old is due for a raise wherever he lands after hitting career highs in scoring (21.4 points per game) and 3-point percentage (34.4) in 2018-19.

The Bulls will have approximately $23 million in cap space this summer. Adding Randle alongside Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. could make for a formidable frontcourt rotation.
