The Memphis Grizzlies reportedly tendered a qualifying offer to point guard Delon Wright, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

With Wright now a restricted free agent, Memphis can match any contract offer another team makes to the 27-year-old.

Wright was sent to the Grizzlies from the Toronto Raptors as part of the February swap for Marc Gasol. After a slow start over his first eight games in Tennessee, Wright turned a corner in the last 18 contests of the season, averaging 13.9 points, 6.3 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.9 steals. He also recorded three triple-doubles in his last four games.

Though he started in 11 of 26 appearances with Memphis, Wright could be back in a reserve role next season after the Grizzlies selected former Murray State guard Ja Morant second overall in the draft.

If no team offers Wright a contract, he will earn $3.63 million in salary next season with the Grizzlies.
