Jimmer Fredette is getting another crack at the NBA.

The former BYU star will be on the Golden State Warriors' summer league roster, assistant general manager Larry Harris said on "Joe, Lo and Dibs" on 95.7 FM The Game.

The Phoenix Suns declined Fredette's team option on Monday, clearing the way for him to play for the Warriors, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Fredette returned to the NBA in March with the Suns after a three-year hiatus from the league. In six appearances with Phoneix, he averaged 3.7 points and 10.8 minutes.

The 30-year-old has struggled to stay in the league since being drafted 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2011, but enjoyed a successful stint in China with the Shanghai Sharks. Fredette was the Chinese Basketball Association's International MVP in 2017 and averaged a league-high 37.6 points per contest in 2019.

Prior to his pro career, Fredette was one of the most electrifying players in college basketball. He averaged an NCAA-leading 28.9 points per contest during his senior year and won the Wooden Award as the top male collegiate player in the country.
