Oklahoma City Thunder All-Stars Paul George and Russell Westbrook have both undergone elective surgeries, the team announced on Tuesday.

Westbrook underwent a right knee arthroscopy and surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left ring finger. He's expected to fully participate in basketball activities in three weeks.

George's recovery projects to take significantly longer. He underwent surgery to repair a partially torn tendon in his right shoulder and is also slated to have a small left shoulder labrum tear repaired in the coming weeks.

An official update on his status will be announced before next season, though ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Royce Young report that he'll miss at least the start of training camp.

George suffered his right shoulder injury on Feb. 26, missing the Thunder's next three games. Prior to the injury, George had shot 44.8 percent from the field, including 39.8 percent from 3-point range through 59 appearances. Upon his return to the lineup in early March, those rates fell to 40.4 and 34.8 percent, respectively, over his final 18 regular-season appearances.

With their tentpole players ailing, the Thunder posted a 12-13 record after the All-Star break, finishing the 2018-19 campaign at 49-33. The Portland Trail Blazers made short work of Oklahoma City in the first round of the playoffs, taking the series in five games.
