Paul George was the face of the Indiana Pacers, a rising talent well on his way to becoming a franchise great. But with the four-time All-Star dissatisfied and angling toward a potential free-agency exit, the Pacers proactively traded their disgruntled wing in July 2017, receiving Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

When asked about the prospect of the team retiring his jersey someday, George told The Athletic's Sam Amick: "If they do it’ll be 30 years from now."

"I’m not sure," George said when asked to elaborate. "And quite frankly, I’m not sure if I’ve done enough to have a jersey hung here. But that’s not in my hands."

Despite playing parts of seven seasons in Indiana, George doesn't actually feature too prominently on the franchise leaderboards. He ranks third in 3-pointers made (897) and fifth in steals (740), but his 44.5 total win shares rank only 11th, trailing the likes of Danny Granger, Jeff Foster, and Jermaine O'Neal.

What George does have in his favor is the fact he was often the best player on teams that made the playoffs in six of his seven seasons, including a pair of conference finals runs in 2013 and 2014.
