Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook was fined $25,000 on Tuesday for directing profanity and threatening language at a fan during Monday's 98-89 road win over the Utah Jazz, the league announced.

Westbrook confronted a heckler while on the Thunder's bench, threatening the fan and his wife following what he believed to be racially fueled remarks.

The Jazz and Larry H. Miller Group permanently banned the fan in question from attending all events at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Oklahoma City is back in action Wednesday when it hosts the Brooklyn Nets at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
