Paul George wasn't thrilled about having to watch the final four minutes of Friday's 118-110 road loss to the Los Angeles Clippers from the bench.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star picked up his sixth personal foul with 3:49 left when he was whistled for a contentious call on the offensive end against Patrick Beverley.

The Thunder trailed 100-99 at the time of George's disqualification, but they quickly lost pace after point guard Russell Westbrook also fouled out due to an offensive foul with 54.2 seconds left. Following Westbrook's disqualification, Los Angeles went on an 8-3 run to seal the victory, and George candidly offered a seething assessment about the refereeing postgame.

"It's just bad officiating. I'm sorry, just bad officiating. We don't get a fair whistle. We haven't gotten a fair whistle all year ... Somebody's got to look into this," he said, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "It's getting out of hand, where we somehow just walk teams to the line. And there's nobody that gets more contact. If I don't speak for myself, I speak for Russ. There's nobody that gets more contact than Russ going to the basket. And it's just crazy.

"I don't understand it. It's a piece of shit being on that floor. We giving everything we got. We're playing hard. We're getting grabbed. We're getting scratched, clawed, held, shoved. And there's nothing for it. The officials just get to walk out, and there's nothing that penalizes them for not officiating the game the right way."

Oklahoma City was called for 34 personal fouls compared to 26 for the Clippers. Los Angeles also had 46 free-throw attempts (on which they scored 31 points), while George managed just four of the Thunder's 26 trips to the line.

George's officiating criticisms are likely to generate a fine from the league, though he says he's already prepared to eat the cost if it leads to change.

"It's nothing we can do," George said. "I'm going to lose money on this. We speak up, we lose money. There's nothing I can do to change that. It is what it is. There's gotta be a change, but there's nothing that I can do."
