Clock error in Bulls-76ers sets up bizarre finish

The Chicago Bulls might have actually beaten the Philadelphia 76ers twice Wednesday.

After Zach Lavine's late and-1 layup gave Chicago a narrow 108-107 lead, the 76ers rebounded his missed free throw and called a timeout with half a second on the clock. But in the final possession, Ben Simmons' attempted inbound lob to Jimmy Butler at the basket fell short, giving the Bulls the win and sending everyone home.

Not quite.

With fans pouring out and players already in the locker rooms, the referees ruled that the clock had begun too early on the inbound. That drew everyone back out onto the court and gave Philadelphia a second chance to steal a win.

Unfortunately for the 76ers, Butler bobbled the inbound and time expired (again) before he could get his attempt off.

There was one notable absentee from the replay, as Bulls forward Otto Porter revealed he wasn't able to make it back to the court because he was stuck doing a mandatory postgame drug test.
