The premiere date for Showtime's upcoming DeMarcus Cousins documentary has been unveiled.

"The Resurgence: DeMarcus Cousins" - a documentary chronicling the Golden State Warriors center's return from a season-ending Achilles injury and his journey through free agency - will air April 13 at 8 p.m. ET.

"'The Resurgence' delivers the intimate account and high-stakes drama of one of the most misunderstood men in sports," Stephen Espinoza, president and general manager of Showtime Sports, said in a statement, as relayed by Broadway World.

"DeMarcus reveals himself as never before - a relatable man whose fiercely competitive personality, daily struggles, and triumphs embody the nature of sport."

The documentary features interviews with coaches, teammates, and NBA insiders who are closest to the story, including Steve Kerr, John Calipari, Isaiah Thomas, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant.
