New York Knicks center Enes Kanter missed his second straight game on Sunday due to illness, but head coach David Fizdale doesn't think it has anything to do with the big man's supposed consumption of seven burgers in one sitting last week.

Fizdale said Kanter has flu-like symptoms, according to The Athletic's Mike Vorkunov.

"I don't think it had to do with what you saw on Instagram," he said.

Sunday's absence against the Philadelphia 76ers, combined with Kanter's plan to skip the Knicks' upcoming trip to London, would mean that the earliest he can return to action is Jan. 21.

The Turkish national has cited security concerns for himself in Europe after his vocal opposition to Turkey's authoritarian president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Fizdale said on Sunday that as far he knows, nothing has changed regarding Kanter's plan to skip the trip, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.
