Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton says that he and team president Magic Johnson have “moved forward” from their meeting on Oct. 30, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.

Walton was reportedly “admonished” by Johnson at the end of October after the Lakers started the season 2-5.

"We definitely talked about (the Oct. 30 meeting). Me and him, one on one," Walton said. "We one hundred percent have moved forward from it. I don’t think it has changed anything."

Walton continued by explaining that he and Johnson share the common goal of winning, which gives the 38-year-old coach the comfort to pick the executive's brain for suggestions.

"But there’s no – what’s the word – discomfort," Walton said. "I don’t walk in there, and it’s like 'Fuck, I’ve got to go talk to Magic.' Like, I have no problem going in and sitting down with him and talking about what’s going on without thinking about that at all."

The Lakers currently sit eighth in the Western Conference, holding a record of 23-19. They’ve been without the services of LeBron James for the past eight games and have gone 3-5 over that stretch.

On Thursday, the Lakers announced that James is now scheduled to miss at least one more week.

The Lakers will be looking to win their third straight game when they face the Utah Jazz on Friday night.
