Stevens: Celtics held Festivus-like meeting, handled discussion well
After three straight losses, the Boston Celtics had their second team meeting in as many days Saturday. However, head coach Brad Stevens insisted the team avoided "Seinfeld"-like levels of dysfunction during the discussion.
"A lot of those meetings start off like Festivus, then they end with like hugs, right?" said Stevens. "So it's just like any other family meeting."

The Celtics held a team meeting Friday following their loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, which Kyrie Irving called "much needed" because the team noticed "inconsistencies" and some "selfish play". Boston then continued the discussion Saturday.
While players voiced their frustrations during the two meetings, Stevens said the team handled itself well.
"There's never a right or wrong time," he insisted. "Ultimately, if you're on a team with 15 people that have good intentions and are willing to share what they're thinking, what they're seeing, and what they're feeling, that's a pretty good place to start.
"Those are the moments in coaching that you can't explain. That's what it's all about, if it's well-intentioned and if it's not off the rails. And it was the furthest from that."
The Celtics will look to get back on track and improve their 18-13 record when they take on the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night.
