Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard was out against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night because of soreness in his left foot.

Leonard reportedly tweaked his foot Friday in a win against the Phoenix Suns.

A California native, Leonard will miss his only chance this season to play the Lakers in the Staples Center.

In June, it was reported Leonard wanted to be traded from the San Antonio Spurs and his preferred destination was the Lakers. Instead, he was shipped to Toronto.

Leonard was asked on Saturday about his childhood fandom and said, "I liked Allen Iverson. I was an A.I. fan. I didn't like the Lakers."

Los Angeles entered Sunday's game with a 4-5 record, winning its two previous games prior to meeting the Raptors.
