The New Orleans Pelicans have added some depth at the point guard spot.

Thirteen-year veteran Jarrett Jack has signed in New Orleans on a one-year deal, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

It will be a non-guaranteed deal, as Jack will compete for the backup point spot in training camp, Charania added.

With Elfrid Payton penciled into the starting backcourt alongside Jrue Holiday, Jack should be able to carve out a role following a mini resurgence as a member of the New York Knicks last season.

Jack started 56 of 62 games played, averaging 7.5 points, 5.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 25 minutes per contest.
