Luol Deng has reunited with Tom Thibodeau.

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced they have officially signed Deng on Monday.

It will be a veteran's minimum contract worth $2.4 million, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Deng, 33, was bought out by the Los Angeles Lakers at the beginning of September. He appeared in one game last season as the team focused on developing its young players.

The signing leaves Minnesota coach Thibodeau just a step away from a full "Timber-Bulls" lineup with Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose, and Taj Gibson already on the roster. It's been reported that the final piece, Joakim Noah, could land in Minneapolis as well if he's bought out or waived by the New York Knicks.

The Timberwolves will hope Deng can bolster their bench at the wing spot. In 2016-17, he averaged 7.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 56 games.
