Kanter defends Thunder following Durant's Twitter remarks

USA Today Sports

While Kevin Durant is remorseful after being caught in the act criticizing his former team, ex-teammate Enes Kanter still felt inclined to defend the Oklahoma City Thunder against such scrutiny.

Seemingly in response to Durant, Kanter posted the following comments on his Twitter account Tuesday evening, praising the organization and its fan base:

Durant recently admitted to having multiple Twitter and Instagram handles which he uses to interact with his critics. While the tweets have since been deleted, the reigning NBA Finals MVP referred to himself in the third person perhaps believing he was logged in to a burner account, putting down his former teammates and head coach Billy Donovan in the process.

He spent the first nine years of his career with the Thunder before jumping ship to the Golden State Warriors last summer, with whom he'd go on to capture a championship. OKC won 47 games without Durant during Westbrook's historic triple-double tear through the league, but was ultimately bounced in the first round by the Houston Rockets.
