Cavs owner Dan Gilbert crashes Cubs' White House visit

Twitter

For reasons known to virtually no one, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert tagged along with the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday as the world champs visited the White House.

Gilbert, a Detroit native, owns the Cavs and Quicken Loans, the nation's largest online retail mortgage lender. He has no known connection to the Cubs, although Chicago did defeat the Cleveland Indians in last fall's World Series.

President Donald Trump requested pictures with Gilbert, according to the media pool report. The Cavaliers still do not have a general manager in place with the draft over, and free agency beginning Saturday.

At this point, it is safe to say that Gilbert is not one of those people who has an issue with visiting Trump's White House.
