Conor McGregor considers Nate Diaz the toughest fighter he's ever faced inside the Octagon.

When asked to name the most difficult opponent to fight during a Twitter Q&A with fans, The Irishman replied simply, "Nate."

The pair squared off for the first time at UFC 196 in March 2016, with Diaz winning via submission in the second round. McGregor and Diaz faced each other again a few months later at UFC 202, where McGregor defeated Diaz via majority decision.

McGregor, who hasn't fought since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, was also asked about how "legendary" his comeback will be. He described it as "the greatest comeback in sports history."
