Conor McGregor expects his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier to play out much differently than their rematch did earlier in 2021.

McGregor wrote on Twitter this past weekend that he plans to "adjust and absolutely f------ destroy" his opponent when they meet at UFC 264 on July 10.

McGregor made a similar prediction heading into the rematch at UFC 257 in January, which resulted in the first TKO loss of his MMA career. That said, the former two-division champion has done well when coming off losses, as he's never dropped two straight fights as a professional. Poirier will look to change that.

McGregor, 32, previously beat "The Diamond" via first-round knockout in a 2014 featherweight contest.
