Despite a recent social media post that hinted at retirement, Nate Diaz insists he isn't looking to hang up his gloves.

"Who said I was retired? I'll fight tonight," Diaz told Ariel Helwani of ESPN on Saturday.

Five days after losing to Jorge Masvidal on a doctor's stoppage at UFC 244, Diaz wrote, "Peace out fight game," in an Instagram caption Thursday. The post stirred speculation that the 34-year-old, who has fought just twice over the last three years, was headed into retirement.

Diaz said before UFC 244 that he planned to "fight forever" and was "never going to retire."

UFC president Dana White expressed no interest in setting up a Diaz-Masvidal rematch after the Nov. 2 event, leaving the native Californian without an obvious next opponent.
