Leon Edwards may have earned a spot among the top welterweight contenders after UFC San Antonio, but Jorge Masvidal wasn't impressed with his performance.

Following his convincing victory over Rafael dos Anjos on Saturday, Edwards called out Masvidal, likening his rival to a "little weasel." The No. 3-ranked welterweight, however, dismissed the notion of a matchup between the two.

Quick to bash Edwards, "Gamebred" insisted his eyes are set on UFC gold after a record-breaking win over Ben Askren.

At UFC San Antonio, Edwards picked up his eighth straight victory, and he hasn't lost since current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman topped him in 2015. Masvidal, meanwhile, has earned two impressive victories thus far in 2019.

The two fighters had a memorable altercation backstage at UFC London in May when Masvidal threw punches at Edwards.
