Edgar-Swanson 2 set for UFC Atlantic City
Frankie Edgar is coming home.
The UFC announced that featherweights Edgar and Cub Swanson will face off in a rematch of their 2014 fight in Atlantic City on April 21.
This will be the first time Edgar (22-6-1) will fight in his home state of New Jersey since 2007. The 36-year-old has a quick turnaround after suffering his first career knockout loss on March 3 at the hands of Brian Ortega.
Edgar won the first fight against Swanson (25-8) by submission in the dying seconds of their five-round bout in November 2014. Swanson is also coming off a loss to Ortega, who submitted the 34-year-old in December. Swanson's last three bouts have all been awarded Fight of the Night.
The card will be headlined by a lightweight fight between Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza.
