Jake Ellenberger is New York bound.

The longtime welterweight will vie for a much-needed W when he faces Bryan Barberena at UFC Fight Night 131 on June 1 at Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, the promotion announced Tuesday.

Ellenberger has lost two straight and seven of his last nine, with five of those defeats coming inside the distance. The 32-year-old most recently suffered a brutal KO courtesy of Mike Perry at UFC Fight Night 108 in April, one that dropped his promotional record to 10-9.

Barberena - who owns a TKO victory over Ellenberger's brother Joe - will look to get back in the win column himself after getting the short end of a unanimous decision opposite Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 115 in September. He heads to upstate New York with three victories in five fights since returning to 170 pounds two years ago.

Bantamweights Jimmie Rivera and Marlon Moraes will lock horns in the main event.
