Antonio Rogerio Nogueira's next fight will take place a long way from home, as he'll face Jared Cannonier in a light heavyweight tilt at UFC on FOX 26 in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Dec. 16, the promotion announced Thursday.

The oft-injured Brazilian was initially slated to face Ilir Latifi in June, but will now meet Cannonier in his first fight in 13 months. "Lil' Nog," 41, last fell to the recently departed Ryan Bader by third-round TKO at UFC Fight Night 100 in November, his third defeat in his past four bouts.

Cannonier, 33, most recently rebounded from a decision loss to Glover Teixeira with a brutal TKO of short-notice newcomer Nick Roehrick in July. "The Killa Gorilla" owns a UFC record of 3-2 and has won two of three fights at 205 pounds.

A middleweight bout between Oluwale Bamgbose and Alessio di Chirico was also confirmed for the card. Both fighters will vie for a win after suffering stoppage losses to Paulo Borrachinha and Eric Spicely at UFC 212 and UFC on FOX 23, respectively.

The Winnipeg bill is as of yet without a main event.
