Major League Baseball announced its award winners for April on Monday.

Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez and St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado were named AL and NL Players of the Month, respectively.

Ramirez batted .342 with seven home runs, 28 RBIs, and a 1.113 OPS. Arenado, who earned his third career Player of the Month Award, entered Monday with a .375 batting average, five homers, 17 RBIs, and a 1.125 OPS.

Seattle Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert and Miami Marlins hurler Pablo Lopez were named AL and NL Pitchers of the Month.

The 24-year-old Gilbert authored a 3-0 record with an 0.40 ERA and 22 strikeouts in four April starts. Lopez also posted a 3-0 record and had an even lower 0.39 ERA, alongside 23 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings.

Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan and Seiya Suzuki of the Chicago Cubs were named AL and NL Rookies of the Month.

Kwan slashed an impressive .340/.439/.472 with 18 hits, nine walks, and 25 total bases during his first month in the majors, while Suzuki lived up to lofty first-year expectations by hitting .278/.398/.528 with four homers, six doubles, 14 walks, and 15 RBIs in 22 games for the North Siders.

Toronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano and Milwaukee Brewers southpaw Josh Hader were named AL and NL Relievers of the Month after incredible stretches.

Romano saved 10 games and posted a 1.59 ERA to earn his first monthly award. He saved 34 games in 35 chances since May 2021.

Hader earned his fourth Reliever of the Month Award - the second most of any player since the award was established.

The 28-year-old was his usual dominant self, saving 10 games and striking out 15 in 9 1/3 innings while allowing just two hits. He also hasn't given up a run this season.
