Colorado Rockies legend Todd Helton is in his fourth year of Hall of Fame eligibility, nearing the 50% threshold in 2021. But, if it was up to his old teammate Troy Tulowitzki, the prolific slugger would already be inducted.

"I think what Todd brought to the field, that toughness, good on both sides of the ball, just, like we talked about, with those grinding out ABs, batting titles, had power in there," Tulowitzki said during an appearance on MLB Network Radio.

"Just the complete package you got with Todd. Definitely makes him a Hall of Famer in my opinion. You know, great teammate, he's just got the whole package of what a Hall of Famer is."

Helton, 48, received 45.9% of votes last winter from the Baseball Writers Association of America, well short of the 75% needed for induction. This year, he currently sits at 56.1% of public ballots, according to Ryan Thibodaux's Hall of Fame tracker.

The five-time All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger, and three-time Gold Glove winner authored a .316/.414/.539 slash line over a 17-year career spent entirely with the Rockies. Over that span, he also crushed 369 homers and collected 1,406 RBIs, leading the franchise in both categories as well as hits, doubles, and runs scored.

Tulo played with the potential Hall of Famer from his rookie campaign in 2006 until Helton's retirement in 2013.
