Now airing: A-Rodcast?

ESPN is considering giving Alex Rodriguez a "Manningcast"-like broadcast after seeing the success of Peyton and Eli Manning's Monday Night Football programs, sources told Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.

A-Rod would be joined by YES Network play-by-play man Michael Kay, according to Darren Rovell. Kay has worked on New York Yankees broadcasts - both radio and television - since 1992.

If Rodriguez was given the program, he'd reportedly be taken off ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball coverage. YES Network analyst and former right-hander David Cone would apparently be in the running to take A-Rod's seat along with Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez.

ESPN's "Manningcast" has aired during 10 of the NFL's 17 Monday Night Football games and has gained substantial notoriety for its casual format and rotation of interesting guests, including league commissioner Roger Goodell, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and talk show host legend David Letterman.

Rodriguez, 46, has been a member of the ESPN broadcast crew since 2018. It's unclear whether the three-time MVP and 14-time All-Star would be joined by a set co-host every week - like Peyton and Eli - or which games would be covered.
