Report: White Sox, Graveman agree to 3-year deal in $24M range
The deal is for three years and worth around $24 million, Heyman adds.
The reported addition of Graveman would boost a Chicago bullpen that already includes Craig Kimbrel and Liam Hendriks. The star closers are set to make a combined $29 million in 2022. However, general manager Rick Hahn questioned Kimbrel's fit with the White Sox in early November after the right-hander struggled following a deal with the Chicago Cubs at the trade deadline.
Graveman, 30, accrued a 1.77 ERA with 61 strikeouts and 10 saves over 56 appearances between the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners last season.
Chicago's relievers amassed the second-best fWAR (7.8) in baseball in 2021.
